![]() Queer films, especially those made by queer storytellers, share important stories that need to be told from the LGBTQ+ perspective-whether they're about coming out, coming of age, or coming to terms with your first heartbreak-and you definitely don't have to be celebrating Pride or identify a member of the LGBTQ+ community yourself to enjoy them. ![]() Thankfully, as Hollywood has grown more diverse, so, too, has the number of LGBT movies that do a really great job of celebrating the life and culture of the community. And if the attacks on LGBTQ+ rights and book bans are any indication, representation matters now more than ever (and not just during Pride Month in June). When it comes to accurately representing members of the LGBTQ+ community in media, the film industry as a whole still has a looooong way to go.
